A leaderboard is only worth climbing if the positions on it are honest.

Play as one person

One account per person. Running several accounts to spread predictions across both outcomes does not demonstrate skill, and it distorts the ranking for everyone who is playing straight. Duplicate-account signals are monitored and acted on.

Predict yourself

Automated or scripted submission is not allowed. Neither is any attempt to submit a prediction after a deadline, including tampering with a device clock — the server decides, so it will not work, but trying is grounds for suspension.

Choose a reasonable name

Usernames and display names appear on public leaderboards. Impersonation, abuse, slurs and sexual content are removed, and repeat cases are suspended.

Respect other predictors

Everyone is wrong regularly — that is what makes accuracy worth measuring. Profiles can be made private at any time, and a private record should be left private.

What happens if a rule is broken

Accounts can be suspended or banned by a moderator or administrator. Every such action is written to an append-only audit log. If you think a decision was wrong, get in touch.
